super find here for sure. that is a nasty looking spider for sure. never seen one like it.

thanks john, I think its a garden orb spider just Black,did you like the ant hanging onto its laggs

oh yeah. that was actually the best part of the 2nd shot, i just forgot to comment about it ;) - that is something i have yet to see...however, i have seen spiders eating on my parents lime tree which is infested with aphids and ants, and the ants always startle them due to their fast movements. (however i did find one spider eating one of the smaller ants..) :-)
