Not cheap, but good ones. When you clean the filters, though, wet the cloth, do not spray the fluid onto the camera.

i am looking to shoot paintball, so i need a good protective filter, but i dont want it to be too expensive.....If you're looking to use the filter as a protection against direct impacts, you should realize that filters are MUCH weaker than the lens elements in most of our lenses and will probably be smashed into thousands of small shards if directly hit. I certainly would not want my lens covered with paint that has glass shards embedded in it. That would be extremely difficult to clean off the lens without risk of damaging the lens with the glass shards.

What's the solution? A polycarbonate (plastic) such as Lexan or Plexiglas which is suitably flat and polished would make a far superior impact-protection material than thin optical glass that was NEVER designed with impact in mind.

Cheap filters will likely have little or no anti-reflective coating on the surfaces and, because of that, are very likely to cause flare in your images if there are any bright light sources that can impinge on the filter.
