There seems to be a lot of dead/empty space that doesn't contribute to the idea. I am fairly new to photography and that has been one of my hurdles, making sure I don't leave too much meaningless space in a photo.
I just find it both distracting and detracting.
Other than that, the concept is great. Pills are pretty photogenic, in my opinion.

^Thanks for the advice and comment, yes pills are very photogenic. :D
Originally, I was trying to fit a lock in the background, but it was to distracting and was kinda over doing it, so I took it out, and I couldn't really think of anything else that would be appropriate. But then again, I wanted a feeling of emptiness in the picture.
Here's a black and white version:

I think the dead space helps....there is a cold, empty feeling. A lock in the background doesn't fit. How about someones hand? Put it coming in from camera left in the BG...slightly OOF...perhaps a pill in the hand...that'll fit the title. ;)

I agree now that it's in black and white. I still don't like the extra space in the colored version.
How about a version that leaves a tiny bit of saturation?

haha, that's a great idea actually, or I was actually thinking to put some pillows, a bottle of whiskey and a cup of whiskey on the side for the background to intensify the scene. :D

But then you'd have to change the title of the shot to "Deadly Cocktail".

Maybe an out of focus body sprawled across the background ????

very intense.
but I don't really want the picture to be too suicidal-ish.
