I have a circular polarizing filter on my S5 which works great for most of my work which is on the water or against the sky. I leave it on all of the time, even when shooting indoors or away from sky and water. This doesn't seem to be a problem but I'm wondering if I'd be better off with a haze filter for the second set of conditions. Basically I like having that barrier between the outside world and my lens.
Your thoughts?
Thanks,
Rob;)

I'm new to all the filters and really just a beginner in general. I'm curious about the filters -- do you have any comparison shots you could post?

I keep a UV filter on all the time because, like you, I like the protection.

Re the polarizing filters, I don't like to leave one on all the time outdoors because sometimes it can give unwanted effects to the sky - e.g. unnatural grading from light blue to dark blue at certain angles to the sun, so I just put it on when I want a particular cloud effect or need to cut reflections.

Thanks for the comments. Have some shots I'd love to share, but haven't figured out how yet. Patience.
