This has probably been posted previously, but I can recommend the sensor brushes from visible dust
http://www.visibledust.com/

Since using them on my 1DS MKII, the sensor is cleaner than when I received the camera.
Not cheap, but do the job well.

Not exactly hard, when my 1D Mark II turned up the sensor looked like someone had been using it to eat their lunch off. Almost the first thing I did was clean it.

Thanks for the recomendation :)

I have just very successfully cleaned my 20D sensor using the Copper Hill kit. May I humbly suggest that anyone considering a sensor clean has a read of this site.

I had little difficulty with this kit following as I did, the elaborate instructions that came with it and are repeated on the site. It is not an expensive option.

I have used the pec pads and eclipse in the past (on a 10D), with variable results, sometimes the sensor required 3 or 4 cleans before the dust removed. I found the visible dust cleaned in one go.
