i have jsut purchased a canon ixus v2,
now i have a problem when shooting in manual mode the pics come out with noise on them... yet when i take pics in auto it works fine

how do i get rid of the noise???

That is because you set it for the shutter to be open for too long, usually that is for capture when there is not enough light. There will be noise when you set the shutter to be open for more than 1sec. Set it to 0 and it will work fine. See the manual on how to do it.

Hi

Other possibility is your ISO definition in the MANUAL mode.
I get lots of noise when I set the ISO setting to 400. Try a lower setting or use the AUTO.
