Ever since I installed the Adobe updates for my Photoshop CS3, I cannot crop images. When I select a cropped area and then go to image/crop; I end up with a tiny square one or two pixels wide.

It is frustrating. It seems like everytime I install an Adobe update, it corrupts my CS3 Photoshop program.

I am getting darn tired of having to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop every time Adobe sends me a lame update. I think I will never install one of their updates again.

Are any of the boxes in the Option bar filled in when you select the Crop tool?

Sounds like you are using the rectangular select tool, then go image > crop.
Does the "ordinary" crop tool work?

Got any screen shots?

My guess would be that is the crop size you have set. In CS2 there is an option for height/width. Those might be set to a very small value thus giving you a small square.
