Do very many of you use "plugins" for PS? What are the most useful? How are they installed? DHL SHOULD be delivering my PSCS today or tomorrow (if they don't get lost looking for my house like they did lasttime).

Thanks mucho
Steve

Gramps:
Depends what you want to accomplish, no? List is endless. Can you give an idea of what do you want to accomplish? Here are some I actually use:
1. PSCS ACR 2.3/2.4 beta. EVERYDAY.
2. For high contrast outdoor scenes, there are numerous freeware or commercial "dynamic range" or contrast range improving plug-in actions, using different methods, merging highlights and shadows using two files, one exposed for each, like Miranda's DRI or Canon Highlight Recovery from RAW.
3. Sharpening. Many good ones' are available. I'm a PhotoKit Sharpener fan. Good for 20D RAW, indespensible for scanned chromes. Because I scan a lot, this eliminated sharpening as an element of workflow that required any brain tissue.
4. Many functions, you end up making yourself as actions. Like a Ben Willmore's "Dodge & Burn" on a Layer action, or batch conversion of files for web preparation.
5. Noise reduction. Noise Ninja, or equal, plug-ins.
6. There are zillions of free plug-ins for people who do creative work. Just surf. I don't use that stuff. Some people use "picture frame" plug-in actions. Reindeer Graphics, The Light's Right, Outdoor Eyes. Adobe's own site. Endless list.

FM actions are great, but they are not free. I do recommend them, Fred has some great products and the prices are reasonable.

There is a plethora of free PS plug ins out there.

I just downloaded some nice free ones from http://www.xero-graphics.co.uk/index.htm

Do some Google searching, you will find lots. Some are amazing, some just weird.
