Very interesting. #1 has a very strong appeal that is just strange. The colors are appealing, the composition, everything - at least to me. What did you do to it?

Good B&W conversions too but the color just sets these apart.

It is HDR which really gives it an extraordinary depth imo... I really like it for landscapes...

Duh, I should have known. But the rendering of the shadows with the bluish tint adds to the overall impact I think. It's much more prevalent in #1. I'll have to try some more HDR this weekend. I do like the effect.
