Am I right in thinking it's Imperial measure at 1/4" -20 ? All I can seem to find is metric nuts and there seem to be no perfect match. IF i'm right on the size, anyone know where to source imperial nuts these days ?

You're right, and IIRC there are some on-line ironmongers you can call upon (Google); ISTR this has been asked before. You need UNC threading. Maybe here (http://www.shopwiki.co.uk/detail/d=Recoil_Inserts_(10)_Unc_1%2F4-20/jumpToFirst=t/)?

Coo... interesting idea. I've actually been trying to source a 1/4-20 nut, but since the uk's gone 100% metric - finding imperial measurement stuff is a pain. The plan was to just araldite a 1/4-20 nut in there after finding an online tutorial about how to make a new thread. But I suspect this is an even better option.
