Nice shot, but would have been better to get one of him talking... lol

Yeah, I can comment on it. Awesome. Great juxtaposition of ridculous makeup and the performer's serious countenance whilst reading. Cigarette is a great touch, too. The only thing, and the only thing, I might comment on is the distraction of some of the background elements. And, even then, I am not sure they are so distracting. They give the image some credibility as true street photography. Great capture, though. What were you shooting with, and are there other images, and did you talk to the performer before or after the shot?

It was taken with 10D, 75-300 4-5.6 IS.
I didn't talk to him, we had to go see other Paris attractions.
But I think he would be an interesting person to talk to.
I have some more candids from Paris, but I have to resize it to post it here.
Here is one more you may like ( also candid).
I'm thinking how to title it ?

I have to run for my first photography class. Maybe finally I'll learn how to take real
pictures. :D

Looks like he is reading Empire of the Ants too - clowns always have a dark side!

Really good capture.

Really good capture.hmmm I think it's the another book by Bernard Werber, french title Thanatonautes (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/225313922X/qid=1105458215/sr=8-15/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i15_xgl14/102-5613139-6947336?v=glance&s=books&n=507846). It's about people trying to reach heaven by dying a bit then getting back to life... very interesting. I can recommend reading it when you lookign for something special ;)

Anyway... nice capture but as said before, a tighter DOF would have been better...
and ... when I first saw the picture, I thought 'Paris'. Funny isn't it...

Agreed; and smoking too. VERY interesting subject!! The best photo in the world isn't fun to look at if it's a boring subject.

Les - I like your second shot, too. Let me guess, she is looking for a lighter to smoke that dangly cigarette.

See, I bought 75-300 IS right before the trip. I took some test bird shots at f4/300mm and DOF was way too shallow. In result I overcompensated.
Now I got a little better feeling for this lens.
Thanks guys for all comments!
I'm learning and your feedbak is a best lesson for me.
