60009 "Union of South Africa" rounding the curve at Kirkham with the late running Norwich to Scarborough steam special,

The first one seems to me like it could do with some motion blur. The second is pure vintage postcard, and much the better for it.

Why have they changed the "The Scarborough Flyer" nameplate from the top at the front in the 1st picture, to the bottom at the front in the 2nd picture, something to do with outward and return perhaps ?
great pictures though.

With the first shot I was looking for somewhere a little "different", and with hindsight I think the setting while picturesque is a little crowded for a GRESLEY A4 (http://www.lner.info/locos/A/a4.shtml).
Maybe a tank engine with a local train would look better on those tight curves, live and learn. ;)
As for the name boards on the front, I hadn't noticed them and I have no idea why they were moved.
