Some homeless dude stole some flowers from a flower stand, and sells em! :p

Did he go back and steal more? You could have a future as a PI, capturing shots like that.

i don't know what but it shows more than just a bum stealing and selling flowers... it has a deeper meaning to it but i just dont feel like writing an essay on it

Thanks.. I also thought the same but just too lazy to write about it also. Sometimes I guess the pics can speak for us. But somehow I don't think my photography skills are that good yet!

Couple of questions.
Did you actually see him steal them and then turn around and sell them?
Second, how do you know he's homeless other than smell ? Because smell does not determine whether someone is homeless..

Would you guys like me to find the dude and take more pics of him in the same set of clothes everyday? I hang around that cable car station all the time and acutully see him selling different things he just stole. Things like batteries, lighters, etc.. That day I saw him with flowers.. I thought that it was somewhat different so I took the snap.

If someone walks by and smells like gym socks and urian.. :rolleyes: One would think that if he had a home, he would clean himself a little. And no... I didn't see him steal the flowers.. I just assumed he did because he was selling them for what ever price you wanted to pay for them That I heard for sure.

Body odor can be an indicator of homelessness. Why are the comments in this thread so concerned with Candid Bandit's own description of the subject matter in the photographs he took? He was in the best position to verify whether the man photographed was either homeless, or a thief, or both. Maybe you believe the photographs should speak for themselves, without any editorial comment by the photographer? If so, what do the photographs say to you? Even if I didn't have the suggestions by the photographer, the picture series is interesting - Man 1 has flowers. Man 1 encounters Man 2. Man 2 has flowers. Conjure your own story as to each man's origins and motivations.

Thank you Esquire.. I was wondering myself why peeps are so concern about if the dude was homeless.

Nice series Candid Bandit. One can possibly come up with quite a few possible stories as to what is taking place here, leaving a lot to the imagination which IMHO is a GOOD thing. :D
I think you should continue shooting these people/events, just dont set your camera down and take your eyes off of it.:cool:

Thanks Bruce!! I am a fanatic candid photographer. I find people very facinating. I just started in photography so any tips from you will be great. And I will definately hold on to my camera! HAHa
