View Full Version : Living in my parking garage?!

I'm a huge bicycle fan, so I rarely have the opportunity to visit my apartment's parking garage, but when I do, the place creeps me out. There is light and darkness in the strangest places. I can't even count the number of times that I pass through and think that I see something running in the shadows.
I had a few minutes to myself yesterday, so I've tried to create in this image the emotions that I feel when forced to walk through the parking garage. I've even included a poem (which was not written by me) for your reading pleasure. :)
Thanks for reading this long post!! Comments welcome. Do you have a creepy parking garage? All the stories are true and the legends are real.
I exist, I am here, I am now.
The night is my ally, the day is my enemy.
I wear the darkness as it were my cloak.
This castle's crypt is where I dwell.
The casket is where I sleep.
Your life is mortal, a mere second.
Where mine is eternal, forever.
Your cities are my hunting grounds.
Your people are my prey.
Your blood shall be my wine.
I shall drink it fresh and warm from your veins.
My very being shall be your dread.
Your terror shall be my pleasure.
Your demise will be swift but not without pain.
Your final vision of life shall be of me.
Your only hope of salvation from behind your crucifix.
You live in fear of even just the mere mention of my name.
For I am Dracula.
I am vampyre.

Interesting image to say the least! :D
Few questions ...
Where are the other cars?
What's the black object adjacent the bike?
What's the red at the base of the object? Blood?
cheers,

Given the current state of oil prices, I'd like to have that bike.
Same questions as J&D?

This is on the lower level of the garage and the 'black object' is actually standing in a corner that has some ventilation fans. There aren't any parking spaces in that corner. There are lots of cars behind the camera and around the corner to the right. I was trying to hide while taking the photo because I didn't want people looking at me strange while I'm playing with a tripod in the parking garage.

Vampire? That's me, wrapped in my bedsheet! :D

Yea, it's suppose to be. I guess because you're asking this question, it's not too convincing? Why blood? I have no idea, it's just creepy.

Me too! I'd LOVE to have a motorcycle. Like I said in the original post, I love bikes, and a motorized one for longer trips would be awesome. The bike in the photo is not mine. I actually didn't really want it in the photo, but it was there when I walked down to the garage, so it ended up in the shot.
Give's me chills!!
Good! :D

Um, another random fact. The only tripod head I had to use was a panoramic head that shoots in portrait orientation. So, I had to shoot the scene with six shots @ 24mm, then another frame with me standing in my bed sheet. I stitched the six background shots together and merged the last shot with me into it. It actually worked out for the better because the final image is massive and can be printed much larger than if I just shot in horizontal orientation. I will probably use this method as often as I can to make large prints easy.

QFT, a car scared the crap out of me while I was taking photos in a parking garage, it came in and then turned around to go back outside

I love the processing and textures. If I were walking through that parking garage and saw someone in black sheet, I would have ran, so definitely creepy.

Genuinely creepy image, even reduced to net size. Very effective.
Have you seen the film All the Presidents Men?
Very creepy garage scenes

Creepy indeed. I like the PP here, and the monolith makes the image.
