Where Are You?

When members ask for ID in the Birds, Nature & Animals and Macro sections, it's never easy if you don't know where they live. How about, in 'Public Profile' making it compulsory to stipulate your country. It would make it so much easier to help.

Yes it would be handy if everybody put in their country in the location field. However making it mandatory will not guarantee that the information in the field is correct. Some simply do not like to specify their location and if it was mandatory they would either put something wrong in it or something silly.

That's fine. If you frequent the bird forum you'll see that people often do just that. Bird ID benefits significantly from knowing the location where the bird was spotted.
