That really is interesting.
With so many interviews of this type, you have to read between the lines a bit.

One point that seems to come through loud and clear is that there will likely be 'high-end' EF-S lenses.
Have Fun,

The link is not working. Can anyone quote the interview?

Works fine for me. A very short summary:
- Canon is developing some kind of dust protection, which they couldn't implement in the 20D because it would be too expensive.
- We can definitely expect more EF-S lenses, cheap ones as well as high-end ones.
- For now, Canon is not going to implement in-body image stabilization.
- The next generation 1-series digital EOS will be a single high-resolution, high-speed camera.

It seems that someday we might expect to see a 1D MkII with the resolution of a 1Ds. Or if you prefer, a 1Ds MKII that will take a bazillion shots at 4.5 per second.
Looks like we're going to need bigger bufffers and faster memory.

I just replace my 1D MKII with the new 1Ds MKII. And I need more time to save up for the new 1D? MK?? + High speed computer to process the RAWs.
Hope this new 1D? MK?? don't come too soon.

This is the best thread after Jan-1-05, because the 1DS MKII falls between Mid Format and FPS rate.
