Why NOT to use blurb for weddings

I've used Blurb for almost all my sporting events and decided to use them as a parent/grandparent book, UNTIL

I tried to show a bride a finished book, WHICH she could not do because Blurb will only show the first 15 pages.

so they did not order it.

I have opted out to use Asuka my mid end book making company. It will raise the price of my side books BUT, I think in the end it will be well worth it!

Any one else experience this...

I tried to show a bride a finished book, WHICH she could not do because Blurb will only show the first 15 pages. Well, no, you didn't show a finished book. You used Blurb's preview. You could have put screen shots of the book pages on a site with a "Proof" overlay & then you might have had a sale?

I agree that Blurb really creates a headache for us by only allowing 15 page previews but there are certainly ways around it.

We sometimes use Blurb books and have always just saved the pages as pdf files and then combined them all into one comprehensive pdf proof to post online or email to our clients.

I tried to save the files and must be doing something wrong, Not a computer wizard for sure.

I like Blurb for a low end book and will continue to use or sports and engagements

But probably anything else it's just not the right thing to use.

Lots to pick from.... Blurb is on the list, but for lower end I go with Asuka. There's another one out there but I will have to find the name of it again. (These aren't separated into high end and low end)
