I had tracking shots locked down with my old camera. Today was the first time getting out with the 40d. Keepers were few and far between but I did end up with a couple that I liked.. Thought I would share..

nice shots and some clean VWs too. The only thing I see wrong is the 4th pic has the sign in the top left of the frame.

Thanks guys! All were shot on Manual around F22, ISO 100 and 1/5 sec shutter speed. Using a .6 ND filter and a CP...

Looks like the keepers are pretty good.

IDK what's up with the clouds in the 3rd pic on the top right...
The shots are all pretty awesome, though. I need to get me some ND filters to go with my CP. Add a Graduated ND filter to that list.

is that mike from Hopkins firestones car?! hes come a long way with that thing. i love seeing the cars you post because i get to see them in real life if i keep a close eye on the road lol. we both live in the same city and shoot similar content but i have yet to run into you. im getting in with a few VW/EURO guys so im sure ill see you sometime soon.
i like your rolling shots a lot but when i looked at the larger files on your flicker they looked a lot more blury from camera shake. that ND filter must make it tough to take a clear hand held shot. the 2nd posted image is my pick out of the bunch because i like the lighting in it better. the silver paint is less washed out in it. nice job. i have to get some rolling shots under my belt soon

Those look great. It looks like you have it down with the 40D, too.

those wheels are fantastic on the mk4 golf.
Good to see the settings you use for your tracking, same as mine on my 400d.
Looks like you've mastered tracking with the new camera too :)

Love the shots, not fond of the pose... Have the guy roll up the window next time ;)

Shots were taken with the 10-20 at about 11-12mm..
