Hi all, I'm quite the newbie to this forum as well as photography.

I wanted to share a color accent photo that I took, and while it turned out good for the most part, I ended up getting a little bit more red in the photo than I cared for.

The A540 settings were adjusted to take ONLY the shade of red that was on the rose, but it is clear to see that the camera took a little more than that.

Logically, I'm now wondering how to use PhotoStudio to remove the excess color. Alternatively, if any of you would point me towards a website that would teach me the post-processing techniques, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to POTN :) And also, welcome to the ninties, the decade of selective color :p

In Photoshop this is trivial, add a B&W adjustment layer with a layer mask to only make the bits you want B&W.

In general you're far better off taking the photo in color then processing it later - that gives you more options and flexibility.
