Help a guy looking for good compact for wifey..

She does nails and makes cakes and needs something quick and easy to take client pictures when im not around. She doesnt want to be bothered learning my dslr. She says its too big and clunky. :rolleyes:

What's a good compact cam for close up shots? Id like to keep price under 200 if possible. Thanks in advance.

canon powershot sd1100 is? good pics quality pics, in the price range - well almost, compact, IS, easy to use.

I think im stuck between choosing either the sd1000, sd1100 or the A720. Does the A series have any advantages over the sd line?

A series have manual controls while sd doesn't.

really depends what your wife values. if she's not that fussed about the pictures, and wants something compact and easy to use, then go for the SD series. if she wants to manually adjust functions, then teh A series would probably suit her better.

Im going to recommend the SD1000 or the SD1100IS too. Both great little cameras!
