New Guy Questions

Hi All - I’m the new guy here!

Here are a couple of general questions if anyone has any input!

I’m stating my own Photography Studio (film now but digital in the next 3 months). Does anyone know of any good Developing companies I could try? I have used Qube Visual (http://www.qubevisual.com/ ) out of Denver, in the past.

Also, any good advise for a portrait photographer just starting out (don’t be too cruel) ;) ? What equip. did you find most useful?

A better place for these studio questions might be our "Cornering the Pros" forum.

A lot of people here seem to like Mpix.com for prints - they're not a "pro" lab but it seems to be good quality with very reasonable rates. For the high end try either White House Custom Color (www.whcc.com) or West Coast Imaging (www.westcoastimaging.com) - I've heard lots of great things about both but they are pricey.
