I wanted to know if anyone has ever or still has a website where people can buy your pictures for their desktop ?
I wanted to start one but not sure where is the first place to start?
This is really basic what I want to do, just have a website where people can download desktop wallpapers that I created for like .99 or 1.99 per wallpaper.
Of course want them to be able to use credit cards, paypal.
Any help would be wonderful.

To be honest, I think you'd be competing with the many free wallpaper sites on the net and so, could prove fruitless. Granted these "free" sites include flickr, deviantart, etc but I really can't see someone paying for their screen backdrop. Why not set up an account on say, smugmug and sell your prints?

Not exactly what you are asking for, but I think its worth the link.

Its a monthly/lifetime subscription and you have get all of his wallpapers that he digitally creates.

I highly, highly recommend Digital Blasphemy. (http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/dbhome.shtml) He has a 'free site' that you can check too, but his newer non-free stuff is absolutely amazing and comes in 17 different sizes and versions from blackberry to 3 monitor wide.

another fan of Digital Blasphemy here. My desktops usually have one of his images on them and I have had many people ask when/where i took that photo - his renders are that good. I always point people to the DB web site.
