long-running punk band X (not to be confused w/ the australian X, which i'm sure Richard will claim is better) hit the road for their 30th anniversary tour. photo rules were 1st three and last three, which was a bit odd. great show (http://www.bigtakeover.com/reviews/x-with-the-detroit-cobras-the-paradise-boston-tuesday-may-20-2008).

#1 billy zoom serves up a facefull of guitar (i had to duck the neck several times...closest i've ever shot a musician)

Great shots! I still remember the first time I put Under the Big Black Sun on the turntable in 1982...WOW. Thanks for posting.

1 is just wild...definitely fun to look at. Looks like an entertaining show...you are freakin' relentless with the cool gigs.

#1 and #7 are my favs...A bit different than your other posts...#1 is one of the very best in recent memory... Cheers.

Love them rules and #6 & #7, of course! :-) I wish I could get first and last three at more concerts ... I usually just leave after shooting.

X was fantastic....i'd hazard to say that they are certainly among the top 40 best US bands of all time...incredible.

dwight, i knew Rachel would draw you in...wait until i unleash my Dengue Fever shots :D

Oh, God, please wait until I get a new battery for my pacemaker! [Disclaimer: I have had a coronary bypass but I don't yet require a pacemaker ... it is a figure of speech! I am in good health and just did a stress echo-cardiogram with my cardiologist two weeks ago!]

my love for guitars... but that girl in the last shot with a bass is beyond sexy :D

X from LA. One of the best rock bands of the era.

Great work work, would have like to see more of Exene and DJ.

i was pretty much unable to get any decent shots of DJ, but got some good ones of him when The Knitters (http://narlus.zenfolio.com/p154211890/) were in town last year. there are Exene shots there too, but here's another from this show:
