Which one A720IS or A590IS?

This will a cam to take quick macros for my gf and her business? ( cake decorating) and also to take with us for walks at night.

Which one would you choose?

I'd enjoy the manual options while shell stay strictly p&s.

The A720IS is amazing for the price, add on the CHDK & you get full RAW support + loads of features.

the 590is is not very great for macro shots. Maybe the 720 is better.
