I was near Palo Alto, California today, at the Baylands Park, around noontime. Unfortunately, there were no bay lands. As a result of a very high tide plus lots of rain runoff, almost the entire park was underwater. As a result of the water being so high, the endangered Salt Marsh Harvest Mice were driven out into the open, so every bird that desired a mouse lunch was on the wing. As a result of all of those gulls, egrets, hawks, and everything else flapping around, every Palo Alto bird photographer was out in the open. I've never seen such a collection of 600mm lenses, about half Canon and half Nikon.

I don't know, with all of that goose crap covering the ground, you couldn't walk around and watch the birds at the same time. Canada geese, Snow geese, etc.

The birds are smart enough to get out of the winter, and I'm still here
