All buttons and the mode selection dial are useable with the WP-DC500 (waterproof case) from Canon. The mode selection dial is a little tricky to use. Move it gently to feel the detent. The case even has a metal tripod mount on it, and comes with a wrist strap, neck strap. anti-fogging liquid, and silicon gel for the case seal. Any other questions?

A satisfied Canon customer.

P.S. Now I'm wondering about setting the camera up underwater on a tripod for stability. Had only thought that the mount would be good for taking foul weather shots out of the water. Hmmm?
