to have found this forum. I have been using digital for about 5 years now and am finally entering the world of dslr. My wonderful DH supprised me with a d20 on Sunday and I have been on the hunt for somewhere to talk about this wonderful piece of equipment. I am going to go surf around the forum now and learn my way around. I look forward to getting to know you all :)

Thank you all for the warm welcomes and thank you belmondo for the link. Seems like a great place here :) I can't wait for the weather to improve a bit so I can get out and break in my camera. I'm running out of things to take pictures of in my living room LOL. But being trapped indoors is making me itch to get a macro lens....

Macro lenses are great, there's amazing things lurking in the details of common objects and insects.

welcome to the forums, you will find them a wonderful source of information and a great place to compile your "what I want next" wishlist. The forums are "free" but tend to work out to be quite expensive. :)
