PS A310 Problem

Well awhile back the camera messed up on me and I bought a DSLR, best move I made I admit, however the one thing I do miss is taking little video clips from things, racing, sporting events, etc.

Let me explain what happens.

When I turn on the camera the LCD screen is 100% black, doesnt show anything, I thought maybe it had went out so I took some videos and images which all came out black too.

Does this mean the lens has gone out or what and would it be better to buy another camera like this or just repair it?

Sounds like your sensor has gone out. I see that the A310 is on the list of recalled cameras so give Canon service a call.
