I just found this site and registered. Looks like a great place to learn about my new camera. I just bought an EOS 20D, a 28-135 lens, and will be keeping my Nikon CP5700 as a back up camera. It's my first DSRL and so far so good with the 20D. Ive only taken a few pics (LA Auto show) and they turned out so much better than they would have with the Nikon. I glad I made the switch (well not really a switch since I'm keeping them both I guess). I look forward to soaking in some of the knowledge here.....

Welcome Tony, this is a great place to learn stuff. I've been hanging around a little while and with reading and asking questions i've learned a huge amount. Good choice of camera and first lens I think, once you discover what you use it for most it'll point you at your next lens :) And yes, there will be a next lens :p

Hey Tony- welcome. Wish I was back in Huntington Beach right now instead of Detroit !!
I share your Nikon/Canon experience. The little 5700 is a very, very good P&S.
Your 20D puts you in a totally different space now.
Good Shooting !!
