Hi,
This is my first real attempt at taking portraits-
I used a 28-135, and 50 1.8, w/ the onboard flash, and a sigma 500 dg super.
Let me know what you think... (sorry if 7 is too many)

For a first attempt, those are very nice! My favorites of the bunch are 5 and 7 :) 7 might also be interesting in B&W as well.

How are you liking your Sigma 500 DG Super? I got one for Christmas and have used it some and it seems very nice

I think #4 is my favorite, there's something about the eyes.

OneManArmy, I'll let her know, but I doubt she'll take it out! :rolleyes:

elbirth, I LOVE my 500 dg super! It works very well as a slave and primary. Multi flash mode can produce some really cool shots as well! The only thing I don't like is that I can't hook up an external battery pack to it, because I take pictures of skateboarders too, and after 8 frames it can't keep up with the 20D, but other than that it's great!

If you come across that about the home made battery packs, let me know, I'd be really interested in checking that out. Otherwise I want to get some rechargable AAs and just keep a few sets on-hand, rather than constantly buying batteries.
