...and, indeed it is. A few from my first footy shooting dabblings of the new season. It's quite possible that there may be more to follow.

(wipes away a tear)...beautiful Gavin, just beautiful. The shield, hold, and stretch are my favs of the series. Don't go getting a big head but I see the stuff you post and it really inspires me to keep working at improving. Thanks for sharing and the involuntary motivational lesson.

Lovely stuff Gavin, do you ever go rusty?

Nice to see you captured Kyri Kyprianou in one of those pics, in the "HOLDAGE" pose (nice descriptions). If hes as good with the ball as he is with his scissors he may be a find. Prolific scorer in the KOPA league(Greek League)
in London.

All in all it looks like a complete refit for the Redbridge team, Romford also look like they have a plethora of new players. How am I expected to remember players names when they are constantly moving clubs!?:)

Splendid series! What lense was used for this. It appears to be a 400mm prime lense with great quality shots.

werdage! Thanks Scott. The key thing with this sports photography malarkey is to keep on learning from every shoot. There's always something new happening or something different to try. That's the beauty of it in my (very humble) opinion!

Good opinion and Wise words, I'll be trekking around my nearest non-league teams this season, Leyton, Ilford and Waltham Forest.

It has been along time since I lugged my old 400mm f2.8 about, no doubt I'll re-learn some old back ache remedies along the way this season too.

Nice set Gmen

Lightage! Instead of your usual ISO 1600, I see you were at 500 for the first one. ;)

Great series, & captions too.
