Canon Rebel - looking for sports lense

I am looking to purchase a good zoom sport lense. I have been directed to the SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 APO EX DG Macro HSM II Lens for Canon.

I take alot of kids soccer, baseball in the summer and broomball in the winter (arena).

Price is a factor as I do not take pictures professional, just take a lot for myself and other families of their children playing sports.

I think the sigma is a good choice if you are price conscious, if you weren't i would recommend the canon 70-200 2.8 is (if u need low light capabilities) or the 100-400 if you need reach. the sigma is a good choice!
