G9 Firmware update?

Does anybody know how often does cannon release firmware updates for their cameras? or in this case, does anybody know of any future updates for G9?
The slight problem that am having with it and SD memory, am hoping
can be fixed by an update.

I don't believe they've released an update yet, not sure if they will?

If the rate of firmware updates on the EOS line is any indication, firmware updates happen about 2-4 per year. On which cameras is anyone's guess.

If you are having problems with your G9, you should take it to an authorized service center for a checkup.

Best I have been able to tell, each of the G series has had one update total. I think when it comes to Point and Shoot, Canon does a better job of releasing replacements quickly.
