I already have a Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 for all my gear (although it's starting to get cramped) but I'm trying to find a smaller bag/case perhaps semi-hard so I can just put my 20D with 17-40 into it, and head out to dinner, or small parties. There are times when the entire back-pack is just uncalled for. I looked into the Canon semi-hard case for 20D but it's for use with the 18-55 lens I believe (could be the 17-85.)

Any recommendations?

For that setup I use the Lowepro Topload Zoom 2, you've got a pocket in the front you can put a flash/spare battery in plus the 20D fits snuggly inside even with the grip attached. It'll even fit with the hood attached (reversed).

Looks like a nice little bag for a day you are out primarily doing something else. What is the street price?

Tamrac Velocity 7 is perfect for that.
