a cheeky shot of a tiger cub.
I quite like the shot but if any one could give some crit I'd be most grateful.

Love the cub! Look at the size of those paws... :shock:
Looks a little dark - just needs the mid-tones boosted a little IMHO. It's tough to tell, but it looks like the left paw was more in focus that the face.

Yeap ... looks like the focal point was the front left paw. I'd increase the depth of field slightly next time, gets more of the chest area in focus since it's a half-body composure.
Haven't played with sharpening photo's in Photoshop ... would this be a candidate for USM?

USM would definatly have been usefull, shame I have the non USM 75-300. that seems to happen a lot to me. I don't stop the lens down far enough and the focus ring is not in a handy place.

There are two USM's...The lens USM is UltraSonic Motor (I think), while the Photoshop USM is UnSharp Mask, a technique for making images appear to be sharper.
