(Few posts from the show at the bottom now, thanks)
Just after any hints and tips for shooting at a motor show.
Plus Im gonna borrow a lens or 2 off a mate (cheers grimey!), just wondered which is best for motorshow shooting . Canon 50 f/1.8 [] Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX [] Canon 17-40 L [] Canon 100-400 L [] Canon 430EX flash []
Also is a flash needed?

The 501.8 and the 17-40L would do nicely ....
Indoors or outdoors is the event ?

Light levels could be poor and setting the colour balance could also be tricky.
I went for some low down shots ,with a slow shutter speed and camera on the ground.I avoided using a flash.Heres what I got

If it is indoors you might want to do a Custom White Balance assuming the lighting source is even throughout.....
Do you shoot is RAW and are you comfortable with M mode ??

If it is indoors you might want to do a Custom White Balance assuming the lighting source is even throughout.....

I can shoot in raw, fairly comfortable with M mode and not played with custom white yet

On a slighty more serious note, you guys are right its realy hard to shoot anything more than snaps a motorshow. I took loads but these are the only ones worth posting at all.

On a slighty more serious note, you guys are right its realy hard to shoot anything more than snaps a motorshow. I took loads but these are the only ones worth posting at all.

Nice stuff. Yeah it was hard also. I was working at the show so I went round shooting at like 7am which was cool but was tired by about 11/12 so went to sleep. I have some of the press day shoot on my site. :)
