hi everybody! i'm new here and also new in photography so please bear with my questions ;)
does G7 support HDR shooting? or do i need to install some program to enable it in my camera?

"HDR" is more of a processing technique, rather than a camera setting or function.
A G7 would work well because it allows you to manually enter the shooting settings.

I haven't tried HDR yet with my G9, but your G7 has the same Auto Exposure Bracketing feature as my G9. (see pages 72 and 73 in your Advanced User Guide) This feature is something that will help produce the images that allow you to create the HDR picture. You also need some HDR software. Photomatix Pro is one HDR package I've seen mentioned, but there are several others out there that supposedly do much better at the tasks required.

You should probably also consider using a tripod to ensure your camera does not move during the multiple exposures taken.
