From the folks who brought to you the drowning of the 600mm lens snuff pictures here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=451992), comes a new lens with which you can shoot the Olympic games straight from your back yard (1.4x tele-converter required). :P

Anyways, we wrote a bunch of 0s at the end of a check and now own a copy of it. At least we are offering it for rent too.

If you are in San Francisco area and want to just play with it without renting, stop by our shop and ask to see it. It truly is an awesome beast. And it's feather-weigh light! (Hey if you believed the above Olympics story you could believe this too). :P Fair warning, the lens is sometimes stored off-site, so may not be always available.

Link in the siggy.

Nice Mark! Next time I see you you better bring the 800mm along in the passenger seat. :) This may be worth a trip out to the Peninsula. :)

Haha. If I bring it with me, it will come in an armored truck. It's worth more than my regular wheels!

Now that we have an actual shop, we can receive visitors and show people around. No longer running out of the basement and asking local camera shop to do the deliveries. Definitely come check it out!

Hey markol, where is your San Francisco location? Are you talking about the San Mateo one or the San Jose one?

The San Mateo one is where the office is. San Jose is just a distribution center through a friendly, local camera store.

There was a price mistake on that thing last night. The price is now listed. Sorry for the confusion.

I had an 800 5.6 for a couple of years. I found it to be to big and heavy.
and it was a manual and not autofocus. I sold it and bought a 500mm
which I get a lot more use out of.

They are different lenses. This is a newest lens from Canon ... the king of all supertelephoto and lighter than the 400 f2.8

Mark, just wondering if you'll be getting the Sigma 150-500 in anytime before fall? The 800 is just a bit out of my reach... ;)
