This is the James Craig, built in 1874 in England (and named Clan McLeod until 1905), and used on trans-tasman cargo voyages, was semi-retired several times, and finally abanoned in Tasmania, where it was found and restored.
Unfortunately in this picture, where it is leaving Newcastle harbour, the sails arn't out, because it is under diesel motor power (not an original bit of kit - 19th centuray sailors would also have been jealous of the GPS no doubt :-) ). The washed out look around the hull is due to sea-spray (caused by a firefighting tug).
