Was messing ard with my 50mm Macro and this is what i got. Not the sharpest picture ever, i know, but interesting ( to me at least) nonetheless!

i'm not a fan of your processing here - makes it look like a jpeg saved in quality 2 or something. also, the area of focus is so incredibly small..

Is that curved vertical line the edge of a contact lens? If not, OWW!
The image is sharp, it's just the depth of field is miniscule. Stop the aperture down to f/9-f/11 or something. Looks like you used wide open f/2.8? EXIF not intact.

Yep, thats a pair of contacts alright lol.
Its stopped down to 2.8. Might try again later!

2.8.lol..u never want to use 2.8..not even when your stacking..like troy says try f/11

was these taken at f/2.8? if so there great..http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=537875 macro is difrent tho..dof is very tight so f/8 or f/11 is best.imo :)

Hi Macro Junkie,
Yep, most of the shots were taken @ 2.8...
Realized Macro is waaaaaaaaaaay different.
Gotta learn how to shoot @ with a smaller aperture. Guess flash isn't an option here since i'm shooting directly at the eye!

well im blown away wit5h the other shots at 2.8...try again at f/11..:) also using a flash with macro at 1:1 and above is very inportant.it means u can set iso100 shutter speed 200 f/11,,at them settings with out a flash it will be hard to get good lighting.
