During my drive to town, for some more gas for the snow blower, I took a drive near our local county park and was treated to see his majesty in new fresh, deep snow. We have a government feeding station near us and due to the deep snow so early, many are setting up feeding stations near the foothills, so I should have some 'wild' shots in a few days as well. Beautiful to behold, wonderful to see, the creatures we are given to enjoy.

This is taken with our Pro1.

Great shot. How tolerant are these guys of humans?

Very nice shot. Whenever I've seen these in the wild they are very hard to get close enough to to get a decent shot. Great work.

I liked the question that one gal made when watching elk.

She said, "How old do deer have to be before they become elk?"

They (the fish and game folks) have a wintering station for Elk at Jackson Hole, Wyoming and one here at Hardware Ranch. They have been coming down and in to these places for many, many years. With the snow so deep and the rut over . . . they are not very scared of the feeders nor the visitors. So you can get pretty close I suppose. I don't know quite what to say regarding the included photo above, lol. but sounds like fun.

Regards and thanks everyone . . .
