Not many folks know how to milk a cow the old fasioned way . . . but this girl gave it her best. I got to help out some and was able to teach a blocking move, into the hock to keep that leg down. Now if I could only find my old 'T" stool.

I was just a little tyke when my uncle changed from hand-milking to automatic milking machines on his little dairy farm in Northern Wisconsin. I still have reasonably vivid memories of my uncle and cousins sitting on those little stools next to the cows.

And the smell....Oh, how I remember that smell.
