[newb question]
Just purchased a 300d w/ 18-55 lens included, I had decided to make the jump from point and shoot to slr.
At any rate, I need to find educational material about the basics of photography, online tutorials, good books to read.......any info at all would be helpfull.
I see that this forum is a warehouse of knoledge.......but im kinda looking for a good place to start, gotta learn to crawl before running ay.

This is a brand new thread, but I'd monitor it regularly to see what people think:

Depends...
What kind of pictures do you want to make? Who's your subject? How far away is it?

Thanks RFM, ive been reading them...and will probably re-read them lol, much have I to learn.
Doc, that is a tough question.....im interested in shooting quite a variety of subjects.....but particularly odd weather events and sunset's, i may even do some limited macro shooting ( getting a specialized flash is a long way off tho, I still need to pick up a speedlite 420 ex and a good tripod and head......my budget is already pist at me for my current purchase lol )
