Sweet, so Dave or Chris or maybe both at my place, and Tag at your place, as long as he knows to use a phone on his own.

Why do I get the blue robe;). Is shrimper so traumatised after the last time he simply can't go back?

Flight is a 7am so be there around 5 - 5.30. I really don't mind airport motel/hotel if that would be more suitable BUT I want to do something on Sunday.

Evening all, just popping in briefly, got lots of work to catch up on.

I spoke to a mate of mine who has a holiday house in Onemana (spelling?) which we can use this weekend. Sleeps plenty. It is, however, about an hour drive plus the walk down the hill to the cove.

Let me know & I'll confirm it with him.

Cheers

It's an hour and half round trip, so say an hour for a really fit person moving quickly, so from that you get only 20 minutes down for a group of fat photographers at 6 in the morning?

Especially if Chris is walking/falling behind you :lol:

Is it down hill all the way though?
It looks like a walk to the top of the cliff, then a climb down.

Haven't heard from anyone other than Chris, so I take it that Onemana will be ok. Just need to get up a little earlier than a closer location:( I'm not a morning person:lol::lol:

Anyway, if anyone is interested, &/or for directions (it's very easy to find) the co-ordinates (from Google Earth) are 37 degrees 08 minutes 58.60 seconds south, 175 degrees 52 minutes 36.01 seconds east.

So, if thats accomodation, transport more or less sorted, really dependant upon numbers:

We can't go wondering off to a random beach in foul weather with out a Weka.
It just wouldn't be proper.

So we are staying at marks mates place?

Can we can get a final roll call, to confirm who is coming, and that we do infact have enough transport?

Me! + 1 van with 5 free seats (6 if there are enough skinny people).

We carried our CompuTrekker as carry on.. how big is a Vertex?

manipula
14th of August 2008 (Thu), 04:28
32x28x55cm or so for the Vertex.

The plan was to throw it in the holdall along with the tripod and some clothes, and carry the main camera bits in my Mini Trecker as carry on. But the holdall weighed 20kgs just with the Vertex and smaller bits, tripod and some waterproofs before I put any clothes and stuff into it. :?

Thinking now maybe use the Vertex as big carry on, have the empty Mini Trecker in the holdall with all my other bits just in case. ???
