Opinions please. Even if they are of the "You s*ck! get lost" variety.

Have you thought about cropping a 1/3 off the top - just below the light centre?

On one hand the street light and wires could be thought to be ruining the shot. On the other I went to a gallery that featured the work of a pro who shot almost exclusively images of wires and things like this. Down to personal choice I guess.

If you were going for a straight-forward sunset then choose a different location to avoid the wires. If you were going for the type of shot I mention above then I think you've done a good job.

I'd prefer the shot without the poles or wires, but they also don't look bad as part of the image. I wanted some opinions one way or another.

I didn't have much choice in location as a) the area of Canada I'm in has been gray for a while, in fact that's the first time I've seen the sun in a week and b)I was rushing off on my way to work when I snapped that quickly. :)

My opinion, there are more clouds than needed, cropping would help. Where was the shot taken? I used to live Mississauga-Burnamthorpe/Winston Churchill. I have some nice shots from that area and Bruce Peninsula. Welcome!

Dundas and Mavis. That hill that leads down towards Hurontario and that affords a view of the lake.

Dramatic shot but I agree with the cropping comments. Even cropping the right side (instead of the top) to make it a real vertical shot wouild work.
