Mixing batteries in the BG-E2

I'm thinking about getting the BG-E2 battery grip for my new 20D (I loved the old grip for my 10D). I have lots of BP-511's and now one new BP-511a from the 20D. Can one mix one 511 and one 511a in the BG-E2 or is this a no-no?

I've mixed batteries on my BG-E2 and BG-ED3 without problems.

In manual is also written that you can mix the batteries....
You should not mix only AA-type. They should be the same type and capacity.
