I have a question for anyone that has been published... if you were submitting photos to a sports publication that is printed in black and white, would you do the post B&W editing yourself?... or do you let there art department worry about this? any help would be great...

It doesn't have to be a magazine. If you're sending it to your local printer, do you want them to guess what color profile you were using?
I would consult with them. Maybe they know a few tricks that will help your photo be printed better. I would do all of the PP.

I shoot for a bunch of sports publications - if I sent in a B&W image they'd never use me again or ask that I send in the original color version and tell me no more B&W...simple as that, they hire a staff of experts that work with there specs and there printing company for a reason and who knows if your edit is to there standards.
