Nice photo, if it were me i would crop a bit from the top.

I like it...I too agree with cropping the top a little. Just a quick question...did you do some sharpening on the image? I'm still learning, so just wondering about what you did post-processing wise. Thanks.

thanks for the comments.

The reason I did not crop is so I could show the long neck mother in the background.

Exposed - there was no post processing whatsoever.

Unfortunately, because you shot with pretty open shutter, the mother's neck rings are very inconsequential in the shot. I hardly notice them and instead I look at the girls eyes. In this case, might as well crop out the top.

I agree, the large aperture has drastically thrown the mothers neck out of focus and draws me away from the main subject. I would definately loose the top and have more of a square crop

A smile and some clean clothes would help this shot tremendously. Looks oversharpened. Good potential though. And yes, cropping would be a good thing to bring the girl's face into the main part of the photo. The eye tends to wander looking at this shot when the background, as stated before, is inconsequential.

As stated it's overshapened. I also agree about the cropping. It will popup your main subject. The cropping will also reduce the whites on the top right side created by the bokeh. I found them little bit distracting and they keep competing for my attention.

Help me please - oversharpened - the shot was straight out of the camera - no post processing

Nice shot but very sad to see the rings are still being done, in a few years she won't be able to hold her head up with out them.
