Found this little lady (I think it is a Black Widow) while walking the dog tonight. A little OFF but had to get REAL CLOSE :shock: using 50mm and extension tubes. Don't know why I am so darn fascinated by these things cause I hate spiders!

nah they wont hurt much :D. yep black widow and it's on their belly not the back.

I have been bitten, not once, but TWICE by these ladies. First time on my thumb as I was weeding my flowerbed nxt to the house, 2nd time I was working in my vegetable garden and it came off the fence and bit my foot.The bite does hurt! The first time I was sick (stomach cramps, severe headache and tremors) for a week. The second time, only the bite hurt.

Nice shot.... I have been looking for one to shoot this summer but they manage to hide before I can get close enough.
