funeral moon 7/12/08 croatia

i finally got my hands on 50mm f/1.8 and i really didn't think about shooting this gig but i had my backpack with me and camera in it so i took couple of shots just to try out this lens. btw, my camera is eos 350d.
as for this event, it was a 2 day open air on this meadow with bunch of young local bands playing. there was also some barbecue, football competitions and generally alot of fun. i only took photos of funeral moon, they play some black/death metal.
i had my camera set on Av and spot metering and to be honest, i didn't really like it cuz i had problems with composing the photographs. as you can see, it was a small stage and there was nothing behind it, just dark. so i always had to try to put something bright in the center to get some normal exposure. it was my first time using this lens so i had no clue what exposure parameters should i use so that's why i went for the Av.

I like the muted color of all the pics, and the fact that you captured #1 and #3 with a hard shadow over their eyes. Seeing that they played metal, I really think this fits the mood. Only crit is that the last picture is way too cluttered and I can't find the focus of the picture (the part of the picture that you want me to look at).
